Definitions:

TERMINAL Hair: is a coarse, dark hair such as a beard hair, armpit or

pubic hair.

VELLUS Hair: is the short, downy soft hair that everyone has all over

their bodies.  They are very small, but are sometimes noticeable on women's

arms, and their faces.

ACCELERATED VELLUS Hair: is a fine, blond hair that becomes coarser

and longer. These hairs eventually become TERMINAL. No, they won't
kill you, but some people feel like it will. Accelerated vellus
hairs can be seen on women's faces when hormonal changes occur, and
another common site to see these is on the ears of men as they near
middle-age.
